WE ARE NOT INVADERS, WE ARE NATURE´S MEMBERS AND NATURE´S KEEPERS

Aiming to protect and preserve the environment for the benefit of current and future generations, it became necessary the creation of conservation and environmental parks, ecological stations, biological reserves, environmental protection areas, areas of private reserves and permanent preservation of national heritage.

Among the parks listed above, the National Park of Serra da Capivara and the Park of Serra das Confusões.

We reaffirm the importance of those conservation units, but the people that lived there over time are parties in the construction and preservation of this heritage. So, instead of expulsion and exclusion, that people should be valued and treated equally to other elements that compose the nature.

Talk about parks, it is not just talk about cave paintings, rock, fauna, flora, but also the lives of human beings, their history, their culture, their identity.

Before the creation of parks, hundreds of families have been living and producing in this area already - always respecting nature. With the creation of parks, many of these families were expelled and obliged of living in suburbs of cities.

Many of them still have not been indemnified and those who still live in the ecological corridor, suffer persecution, repression and intimidation, and still are not holders of public policy and not valued by the importance they have in this process.

We condemn and denounce the actions of environmental predators, such as the exploitation of minerals in the surrounding parks, hunting and predatory and the consequent trafficking of wild animals, and the routine fire use.

Before this finding, we demand: participation, public policies, respect, appreciation for life and security of citizenship.
